Raina is an elected NRC official, and also a proud member of the Wellesley League of Women Voters, the Wellesley Conservation Land Trust, the Wellesley Club, and Sustainable Wellesley. She led the effort to install the first community garden at Fiske elementary school 25 years ago and has been volunteering ever since.
She’s been married 39 years to her husband Michael McManus, who grew up in Wellesley. They have two grown children, Hera and Tycho, who both attended Wellesley’s public schools and participated in the arts and sports programs.
In addition to her Commissioner duties, Raina loves cooking (especially Greek food), knitting, and gardening. Her Wellesley garden, and what’s left of her lawn, have been pesticide-free for over 30 years.
She’d be honored by your support. Thank you.
